Settlement Online Pre-Arrival (SOPA): Arrive Prepared
One of the challenges faced by new landed immigrants is how to compete with the labor market. How do they prepare themselves to land a job that they want, to get a job which is in line with their training and experience acquired from outside Canada.
There are available support more than one to get you prepared for this. One of them is the Settlement Online Pre-Arrival (SOPA). The good thing about SOPA is that you can start your preparation and training even before you land in Canada and you can do this online!

The Visa Officer Rejected Her Application. What she did next is clever!

She then decided to go back the Philippines when the validity of her Work Permit expired. Although she wasn't lucky to get a PR Status, she was fortunately able to help some of her children, relatives and friends get a permanent resident status. She wanted to visit her family and friends in Canada. But her application was rejected.

It was only in December 2014 that her application was approved by CIO.

From Papua New Guinea to Canada
Mr Jay Portus was in Papua New Guinea when he decided to pursue his application for permanent residence in Canada. With a brother who is already in Canada as a permanent resident, he sure understands the difference between working abroad as a contract worker away from one's family and as immigrant in Canada enjoying a better quality of life together with family.

If I live outside Canada, may I sponsor my spouse?
There are two types of Sponsorship Application for spouse, one is for those whose spouse is living with the sponsor and the other is for those whose spouse is living outside Canada. There are different application forms for each type and there's a different processing time. Now, the question is this: Is the sponsor living outside Canada eligible to sponsor from outside Canada?

Sometimes things aren't clear right away. That's where you need to be patient and persevere and see where things lead. - Mary Pierce
It was June 2007 when Ms. Veralynne Alcantara, Medical Laboratory Technologist, first visited Canadian Immigration Consultancy office to inquire about immigrating to Canada. She immediately started her application and her application was filed right away under the Federal Skilled Workers Program. But changes were introduced in 2008 and her application was affected. Her application was returned unprocessed.
Immigration rules change from time to time. Just look at the Chronicle of Changes in the Canadian Immigration and Regulations from 1992 to 2008 and you will get an idea. And from 2008 to present, there were series of changes as well.
From the time her application was returned, it was only in 2013 that she became eligible. A limited number of applications from selected occupations were accepted in 2013, including Medical Laboratory Technologist. Because she was ready with the documents, her application was immediately filed and she made it to the quota.
Although her application was approved shortly after filing the application, it took a while before she got her visa due to some issues with some of her documents. But with Canadian Immigration Consultancy's assistance, those issues were addressed properly. She recently received her visa together with her dependents and gamely obliged for a testimonial photo at Canadian Immigration Consultancy Alabang Office.
Ms. Veralynne Alcantara is now Mrs Veralynne Carandang, married and with a lovely daughter. They will be moving to Canada this coming March 2016.

How to Apply for Canada Fiance Visa?
Until now, I am still receiving inquiries about Canada's Fiance Visa Application. So again, there is no such thing as Fiance Visa under Canada's Immigration Regulations. How then can you sponsor your spouse? The answer is Family Class Sponsorship.
Marriage certificate per se is not enough to prove that the marriage is genuine. Financial and emotional interdependence must be present and you need to provide documents to support it. How do you do that? Information about all Canada Visa application is available for free at http://cic.gc.ca. But if you need help, contact us and we will make it easy for you like what we did with the case of Ms. Gina Tamayo.

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.
Dr. Rosemarie Bravo, a Physician, will be moving to Canada soon. Her visa was issued yesterday after almost a year of processing.
There are things that are simply meant to be. Dr. Bravo learned about Canadian Immigration Consultancy through her friend, who signed up a consultancy agreement with us but later on decided to withdraw her application due to some personal reasons. Since the consultancy fee is not refundable, we allowed her to transfer her account to her friend or relative. She then offered her account to Dr. Bravo.
Documentation process wasn't that smooth for Dr. Bravo. Education Credential Assessment process for physicians is not just a simple process unlike other occupation. Proof of her work experience as a Physician is also not as simple as getting an employment certificate from her employer. But because of her dedication and commitment to her goal, plus with Canadian Immigration Consultancy's assistance and guidance, she finally made it! She will me moving to Canada soon!
Getting help from an immigration consultant is not a guarantee that your application will be approved. But one thing is certain, we can help you increase your chances of approval. You can bank on Canadian Immigration Consultancy's almost 30 years of experience in the immigration constancy business.
