From Papua New Guinea to Canada

Mr Jay Portus was in Papua New Guinea when he decided to pursue his application for permanent residence in Canada.  With a brother who is already in Canada as a permanent resident, he sure understands the difference between working abroad as a contract worker away from one's family and as immigrant in Canada enjoying a better quality of life together with family.

Mr. Portus, a licensed Electronics and Communications Engineer, applied under the Federal Skilled Worker Program.  His application was filed November 2014.  During that time, he was still working in Papua New Guinea.  Their PR Visas were issued March 2016.
