Because there are no Expression of Interest (EOI) draw since January 13, 2016, there is a rumor circulating around that the the MPNP Skilled Worker Category is already closed. In fact, I received several emails about it asking if
MPNP Skilled Worker Category Is Now Closed?.
MPNP Skilled Worker Exploratory Visit is closed more than a year now. But MPNP Skilled Worker Category is still open.
In the absence of formal announcement that MPNP Skilled Worker Category is already closed, there really is no basis to believe such rumor. In fact, there are clients who received the LAAs in the last two months.
As to why there is still no published EOI draw for more than two months now is still unknown. What we do know is that on a regular basis, between 15 and 25 times each year, the MPNP will draw the highest -scoring candidates from the EOI Pool and issue them a Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA).
