OINP International Student Stream Update: Eligibility change for candidates with one-year college graduate certificates

Some good news for International Students in Ontario who are dreaming to become a permanent resident after they completed their program. 

Here's the announcement from Ontario's Ministry of The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development: 
"The OINP has made changes to the Employer Job Offer: International Student stream to expand eligibility for international students who have completed a one-year college graduate certificate.

Previously, the OINP’s Employer Job Offer: International Student stream allowed candidates to apply with a one-year credential from an eligible institution only if the program required the completion of a degree as an admission requirement.

With this change, the OINP allows applicants of any one-year college program that grants an Ontario College Graduate Certificate to qualify.

This amendment increases the number of certificate programs eligible for the OINP.

This change came/comes into effect on January 1st, 2024. This does not impact individuals who submitted an application prior to this date."
