We understand of course that these procedures are there to protect the Filipino workers. However, there is obviously a problem with the way these are being implemented.
If OEC is indeed a requirement for Home Child Care Provider Pilot and Home Support Worker Pilot Applicants, why are some of them able to exit the Philippines without the OEC.
In fact, there is this Advisory from POLO Vancouver in September 2020 which for reason we don't know, is no longer available online. The Advisory was originally posted in this URL https://www.vancouverpcg.org/advisory-on-the-home-child-care-provider-pilot-and-home-support-worker-pilot/
Here's the copy of the Advisory which we generated using the Wayback Machine.
We sent an email to POLO Vancouver and will post update if and when we received a reply. One thing is certain though. We have a client who recently arrived in Canada without an OEC.
